Dear Pastor,

Thank you for your interest in our ministry.

I speak to many issues in my seminars.  But the focus of them all is grounding people in their “philosophy”, how they view the world around them.  We all have either a Secular World View (Humanist) or a Biblical World View (Creationist).  For example, consider the following quote from a mother when her daughter went off to college:

“Our daughter was raised in Christian schools and in a Christian home where we taught her Christian values and morals .... Two years out of high school at 20 [years] old, she enrolled at the University .... Unfortunately she was overwhelmed by the professors and began to believe their philosophies.  She graduated two years ago ... and has turned her back on all that she believed in.  We are trusting God to bring our girl back.  The wait is sometimes difficult, but we are on bended knee.”

How tragic! Yet this is just one example of a growing trend: kids raised in Christian homes who lose their faith at college.  In fact, national surveys indicate that up to 51 percent of Christian students no longer claim to be “born again” by their senior year in college. [1]

This issue of course does not stop with our children.  Sadly, there are multitudes that have adopted these “philosophies of man” (Colossians 2:8) and brought them back into the church and their everyday lives.

It is the purpose of Truth Seekers Ministries to combat this way of thinking (philosophy) with TRUTH (John 17:17).  Hosea 4:6  says that, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge…”  And we seek to provide Biblical knowledge through our seminars and resources to equip the saints and win the lost.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about this vital ministry.  May God bless you in your labors for Him.

Sincerely,

Peter J. Fox

Alarming Statistics...

    * In his book The Coming Revival, Bill Bright reported that "only two percent of believers in America regularly share their faith in Christ with others" (NewLife Publications, p. 65).

    * "A soul at the altar does not generate much excitement in some circles because we realize approximately ninety-five out of every hundred will not become integrated into the church. In fact, most of them will not return for a second visit." Charles E. Hackett, the Division of Home Missions National Director for a leading U.S. denomination.

    * In 1991, organizers of a Salt Lake City concert encouraged follow-up. They said, "Less than five percent of those who respond to an altar call during a public crusade . . . are living a Christian life one year later."

    * A mass crusade reported 18,000 decisions, yet according to Church Growth magazine, ninety-four percent failed to become incorporated into a local church.

    * In the March/April 1993 American Horizon, disclosed the fact that in 1991, 11,500 churches of a major U.S. denomination had obtained 294,784 decisions for Christ. Unfortunately, they could find only 14,337 in fellowship. They couldn't account for 280,000 of their decisions.

This happened despite the usual intense follow-up. What's wrong? We think that we have discovered the answer...

he will either quit being mistaken or cease to be honest."
